U.S. stocks futures climbed ahead of Monday’s open, as investors monitored new corporate earnings and a summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Investors are currently keeping an eye on the meeting in Finland. Trump and Putin will meet in Helsinki to discuss a range of topics.

In economic news, China’s  economic expansion slowed a notch in the second quarter, weighed down by a government debt cleanup even before growth takes an expected hit from the trade fight with the U.S.  The economy grew 6.7% in the three months ended June from a year earlier, down slightly from 6.8% in the January-March period, the statistics bureau reported Monday. The pace was in line with market expectations. For the first half of 2018, the economy grew 6.

 

Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) both rallied over the weekend, up about 3.04% and 5.21%, respectively. Market capitalization increased from $250B USD to $264B USD which is a 5.6% increase in just 24 hours. This 24 hour volume of $13.5B is increased compared to Friday. BTC dominance of 42.5% is slightly lower compared to Friday.
